Learn proper technique, build confidence, and get stronger over time
No payment required. Lifting shoes recommended, not required for the free intro.
Basement Barbell Strength Training provides private, one-on-one barbell coaching for everyday adults who want to learn proper technique, build confidence, and get stronger over time.
Coaching is based on the Starting Strength model: effective barbell training focused on technical precision, consistent progression, and long-term strength development.

A Coached Training Environment
This is not a typical gym session.
Every lift is coached, corrected, and refined in real time. The goal is not just to complete a workout, but to learn how to train correctly, apply that skill consistently, and build strength over time.
You’ll be coached throughout the session and expected to stay focused, listen, and apply feedback.
That’s how real progress is made.

MEET YOUR COACH
I have attended an official Starting Strength Seminar and coach using the Starting Strength model: efficient barbell training, technical precision, and long-term progression.
I have applied this method in my own training for over 10 years and have worked under the guidance of experienced Starting Strength coaches.
I am a retired USAF Officer and aviator and my coaching experience includes working with beginners, friends and family, and active duty USAF service members. My focus is on teaching correct movement, applying feedback in real time, and building strength through a structured, repeatable process.
I continue to refine my coaching by applying the method, observing results, and improving how I communicate and teach the lifts.

WHY BARBELL STRENGTH?
Strength is built through correct movement, consistent practice, and gradual increases in load over time.
This approach is simple on purpose. You’ll learn how to perform the major barbell lifts correctly, apply them consistently, and build strength over time.
Progress is built on skill, coaching, and steady practice — not guesswork.
PROPER FOOTWEAR
All clients are required to wear proper weightlifting shoes during paid training sessions to support safe and effective lifting.
A weightlifting shoe is a rigid, heeled shoe designed to improve stability and positioning during barbell training. It helps you stay balanced, maintain proper form, and move weight more efficiently.
If you’re unsure about footwear, feel free to reach out for guidance.
